Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Power Engineering and have good working experience in planning of T&D systems. Developed computer skills coupled with strong analytical and mathematical abilities with regards to the modeling of electrical power networks and its components are a must. Your knowledge of both transmission and distribution systems tied to experience in Software Development would be considered an asset. Experience with tax credits reporting in programs such as the Canadian SR&ED is greatly desirable.

The candidate should have highly developed verbal and written skills in English. The knowledge of other languages (Spanish and French) would be considered as an important asset.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President and as a part of the Software Development Team, the selected candidate will research and provide solutions to new and uncommon modeling or computation problems related to transmission and distribution systems. He/she will make recommendations to the Program Managers to implement ad hoc solutions. He/she will also participate in the short- and long-term planning for the development of our Software.

The hired candidate will be responsible for organizing the (yearly) tax credits report within the SR&ED program (Canadian). He/she will coordinate with the Program Managers to write and gather the supporting documentation for successfully reporting the R&D activities in the company.

Qualifications:
Experienced B.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (a higher degree is preferable - M.Sc. or Ph.D.). The candidate with Electrical Engineering background will have knowledge and experience with electromagnetic design of power equipment (eddy current analysis, solution of the diffusion equation). The candidate with Mechanical Engineering background will have knowledge and experience with heat transfer design (conduction phenomena, solution of the diffusion equation).

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in the two areas (electromagnetic and thermal fields) and experience with high-voltage cables. A candidate with only one or two backgrounds (electrical, mechanical or cables) would be considered if he/she is willing to learn the other subjects.

The candidate should have highly developed verbal and written skills in English. The knowledge of other languages (Spanish and French) will be considered as an asset.

Responsibilities:
As part of the Development/Engineering Team you will participate in the development of the CYME CYMCAP (Cable Ampacity) Program to enhance its modeling capabilities. You will work together with the Sales Department providing technical answers during the decision-making process with potential customers. Together with the Development Team of CYME, the selected candidate will work in all stages of projects, from the conception and writing the proposals to the assurance of their successful completion, training and delivery.
